Julio Franco

Update: It's Official. Say goodbye the the extra relief.

Update: Time to man up on this
one. I still don't understand it.

When we need a coach... one of those "Don't call us, we'll call you" type deals. I'm not taking a roster spot away from a better player for him. End of story.

Who's better? Chris Woodward or Julio Franco? Julio would take his spot.

But Woodward can play something other than first effectively. Julio just doesn't have the skills. And don't tell me he played third this year, he stunk.

Willie can play many other positions and Julio can be a mentor and a clubhouse reliever. I know this has nothing to do with it, but the Braves haven't been in the postseason since he played with us.

ummm, limited sample there bud. Gotta point out that the bravos made it to the postseason a few times before Julio showed up. As for Willie, he's an outfielder. Escobar and Woodward are the infielders on the bench. See the part about needing a coach...

Willie can also play 2nd, 3rd, and SS, as well as the other outfield spots. Woodward is worse than Julio. Julio would help greatly off the bench in the later innings.
